Science is to acquire new knowledge through observations and experiments, while technology is to create products that solve problems and improve human life. The School aims at equipping students with professional knowledge to contribute to a better society and better life. We offer a wide range of programmes in Applied Sciences, Information Technology, and Engineering. Currently, we have around 1,500 full-time undergraduate students, 1,000 full-time postgraduate students and 1,000 part-time students.
The School established the Institute for Research in Innovation Technology and Sustainability (IRITS) in 2014 to facilitate and promote research. Our primary research interests are Smart City and Environmental Science. The faculty members at the School have outstanding performance in research. They are awarded prestigious research grants from Research Grants Council (RGC) and other funding agencies. In addition, their research results appear in top-tier journals in science and technology.
