School of Science and Technology Computing Final Year Project Showcase
News: FYP Selected to Represent Hong Kong in APICTA 2018
The FYP titled  Safety Awareness and Firefighting Skills Training through Virtual Reality on Mobile Phones and Computers has been nominated by the Hong Kong Computer Society to compete for the Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2018. Congratulations to the team ThreeYs as they have won the Merit Award at APICTA!

The Final Year Project is attempted by students in the final year of undergraduate Honours degree programmes.

The project is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability to integrate the knowledge and techniques that they have learned in all the courses they have studied. The final year project is also useful for kickstarting a computing student’s career – showing to employers the capacity to develop computing and IT solutions for a problem of intermediate complexity.

We expect that students will significantly develop their high-level thinking ability and technical skills through supervision of academic staff as well as independent research and development work.
