Distance Learning Mode Part-time Credit Exemption

This programme is designed for holders of a recognized local Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing to receive 60 credit-units of exemption towards the BSCICNH/BSCICN degrees.

Admission Requirement

A recognized local Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Computing or a closely related area, in addition to general university’s requirements.

  1. Contact the Computing Programme Team for an assessment of your qualification (or view the list in the previous section)
  2. Select suitable courses offered in the coming semester.
    1. Register these courses using Online Application.
    2. Indicate the “intended programme” to be BSCICN1 or BSCICNH1.
Programme Structure

Bachelor of Science in Computing and Networking (through Pathway 1) (BSCICN1)

To be eligible for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computing and Networking through Pathway 1, a student shall:

  • obtain 33 credit-units as prescribed below, of which at least 24 credit-units shall be at least 3000-level and/or 4000-level:
    • 12 credit-units from courses labelled CD at 3000/4000-level in Table 1;
    • 6 credit-units from courses labelled D1 in Table 1;
    • 6 credit-units from courses labelled D2 in Table 1;
    • 9 credit-units of University Core courses labelled UC in Table 1; and
    • attain the CGPA for graduation as prescribed in the Regulations for the Award of Undergraduate Degrees.
