HKMU NEW Programme: JSSU77 BSc(Hons) in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying

The Department of Construction and Quality Management (CQM), HKMU launches a new programme BSc(Hons) in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying (JSSU77, BSCHCMQSJ) in the Academic Year 2024/25 to nurture talents in the field of construction management and quantity surveying. 

As the Government has announced a significant number of infrastructure projects in the coming years, quantity surveyors and construction managers will be in high demand. The programme provide students with comprehensive training in various subjects including Building Material Measurement, Construction Cost Control and Contract Administration. Students will explore the use of cutting-edge construction technologies such as AI, BIM, IoT, VR and AR in quantity surveying. Through Industrial Training and Industrial Placement, students will gain valuable hands-on experience and practical knowledge.

The programme is pursuing accreditation from The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) as a recognized programme for Quantity Surveyors and will also apply to the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) for programme accreditation.
