JSSU78 (BENGHBSEJ) BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering and Sustainable Development and JSSU79 (BENGHCEEJ) BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering , The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) accredited SSSDP Programmes

To meet the increasing demand of manpower in the building and construction industries, the Department of Construction and Quality Management (CQM, HKMU) launched two programmes BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering and Sustainable Development 屋宇設備工程及可持續發展榮譽工學士 (JSSU78) and BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering 土木工程榮譽工學士 (JSSU79) in 2020. The two programmes are accredited by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and be aligned with the HKIE accreditation requirements, preparing students to become a competent engineer in the building and construction industries.

Programme characteristics:

• Strong industry involvement – Develop students’ professional skills, knowledge and competences required by industries;
• Integrated design projects – Nurture students to be a good communicator with creative and enquiring mind;
• Internship opportunities – Engage students to work effectively in large projects involving different parties and professions

The two programmes are subsidised under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) with the highest rate of HK$81,450 per year.

• Estimated Programme Fees after SSSDP subsidy: HK$46,960【every year: HK$11,740】
