建筑与品质管理系(CQM)是香港都会大学(HKMU)科技学院(S&T)于2022年成立的学术部门。本学系提供各类本科和研究生课程,包含土木工程、建筑服务工程、测量、工程管理、测试科学和认证等专业领域。
本学系旨在培养具备坚实的理论基础、实践技能和领导能力的学生。课程旨在为学生提供对建筑、测试和认证行业及其管理的全面理解,以培养能够应对行业挑战及快速发展的专业人才。我们的本科课程得到了国际专业机构——HKIE和HKICA的广泛认可。另一方面,我们的研究生课程为学生提供了工程项目管理、建筑成本管理、测试科学和认证管理等专业领域的进阶知识和技能。
本学系非常注重研究和创新,教职员活跃于建筑工程、管理和智能技术相关的研究项目,我们的研究成果亦在行业内备受赞誉。除了教育和研究外,我们更积极与业界伙伴合作,为学生提供实践经验和实习机会。学生更有机会参与研究项目,了解行业面临的实际问题和进行研究。

检测和认证证书课程

实务途径 入读 综合检测和认证荣誉应用理学士 学位课程 (每学年9月起接受报名)
课程旨在为提供检测和认证方面的实用技能和知识。学生透过实践和应用,学习物理和机械测试、电子和电气测试、化学和生物测试,以及质量保证相关的基础知识和技能,装备成为检测和认证的专业工作者。
通过此证书课程的学生符合资格入读学位课程综合检测和认证荣誉应用理学士

After graduating from OUHK, Krutz obtained an M.Sc. in Engineering Management from CityU. He is now completing his second master degree, M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, at CUHK. Krutz has a wide range of working experience. He has been with Siemens, VTech, and PCCW.

Hugo Leung Wai-yin, who graduated from his four-year programme in 2015, won the Best Paper Award for his ‘intelligent pill-dispenser’ design at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering’s International Conference on Consumer Electronics – China 2015.

The pill-dispenser alerts patients via sound and LED flashes to pre-set dosage and time intervals. Unlike units currently on the market, Hugo’s design connects to any mobile phone globally. In explaining how it works, he said: ‘There are three layers in the portable pillbox. The lowest level is a controller with various devices which can be connected to mobile phones in remote locations. Patients are alerted by a sound alarm and flashes. Should they fail to follow their prescribed regime, data can be sent via SMS to relatives and friends for follow up.’ The pill-dispenser has four medicine slots, plus a back-up with a LED alert, topped by a 500ml water bottle. It took Hugo three months of research and coding to complete his design, but he feels it was worth all his time and effort.

Hugo’s public examination results were disappointing and he was at a loss about his future before enrolling at the OUHK, which he now realizes was a major turning point in his life. He is grateful for the OUHK’s learning environment, its industry links and the positive guidance and encouragement from his teachers. The University is now exploring the commercial potential of his design with a pharmaceutical company. He hopes that this will benefit the elderly and chronically ill, as well as the society at large.

Soon after completing his studies, Hugo joined an automation technology company as an assistant engineer. He is responsible for the design and development of automation devices. The target is to minimize human labor and increase the quality of products. He is developing products which are used in various sections, including healthcare, manufacturing and consumer electronics.
