The Programme has been selected by the EDB for the “Pilot Project on the Development of Applied Degree Programmes” 「應用學位課程先導計劃」, blending theories and practices required in testing, inspection and certification industries, with substantial internships opportunities and preparing graduates usefully employed as all-rounders in the industries.
香港都會大學 綜合檢測和認證榮譽應用理學士(JSSU61) 為教育局「應用學位先導計劃」首批課程，結合理論及大量實踐和職場實習機會，為畢業生作好投身檢測和認證行業的準備。課程內容包括不同科學或工程理論、技術及實踐知識，着重培養學生應用能力，成就學生在畢業後為檢測和認證行業作出貢獻。
Practical-route admissions: Students who enrolled in JSSU61 and passed the Certificate course in Testing and Certification (CTC) offered by HKMU SST are eligible to be admitted the programme.
實務途徑 入讀JSSU61（每學年9月起接受報名）: 聯招申請者 (中六應屆文憑試考生) 除了能以HKDSE成績申請以正常學術途徑入學，亦可選擇以實務途徑入讀此課程。中六學生於聯招報名JSSU61後，報讀都會大學科技學院開辦的《檢測及認證證書課程》(CTC course) 並取得合格成績，便可 符合入讀 “綜合檢測和認證榮譽應用理學士 (JSSU61)” 課程的資格。
