簡歷

蔡炎城博士工程師是香港都會學土木工程專業課程主任。 2013年獲得香港大學結構工程博士學位，2014-2020年在工程界和香港大學從事結構工程實踐和研究。 2020年7月任香港理工大學研究助理教授。 2022年8月加入香港都會大學擔任助理教授。蔡博士是英國與香港特許工程師，是英國土木工程師學會、香港工程師學會與美國土木工程師協會會員。他也是英國土木工程學報-《土木工程》的編輯部成員、英國結構工程師學會研究委員會與青年委員會委員。蔡博士於2018年獲得香港工程師學會青年工程師工程理論創新應用大獎；2017年獲得香港工程師學會結構工程分會與英國結構工程師學會聯會研究應用優勝獎等。蔡博士目前主要的研究領域涉及金屬結構穩定與節點連接性能、金屬結構的火災作用機理與耐火性能、高強鋼管混凝土結構性能與分析理論等。
