校長
林群聲教授
林群聲教授為香港都會大學校長及環境化學講座教授。
林教授於1979至1984年就讀於香港大學，取得學士及碩士學位；並於1984年獲英聯邦獎學金赴英國深造，在謝菲爾德大學修讀博士學位。及後林教授於倫敦大學國王學院從事博士後研究，並於1988年加入香港城市理工學院擔任講師一職。其後，他在多所大學工作，包括香港中文大學 (1990-1992) 和澳洲維多利亞科技大學 (1992-1994)。他在1994年再次回到香港城市大學化學系 (前生物及化學系) 工作。
林教授是香港高等教育界的先驅，在學術發展及大學行政管理方面具豐富經驗。加入都大前，林教授為香港城市大學特別項目總監，並身兼胡梁子慧教授 (理學) 及化學系講座教授。自1994年起，他在城大先後擔任其他要職，包括署理副校長 (本科教育)、副校長 (學生事務)、秘書長及海洋污染國家重點實驗室主任。
身為環境化學、生態毒理學，以及環境風險評估領域的傑出學者及專家，林教授的學術成就超卓，他在生態學和環境評估的研究成果尤其突出，提升了公眾的保護環境意識。他亦開發了一系列新興污染物的超靈敏檢測分析方法；其中，針對關鍵環境基質中的新興污染物的痕量分析技術，為協調國際的分析方法作出貢獻。其關於新興污染物的全球分佈與環境持久性的研究成果，也影響了世界上很多地方的相關政策與立法。
林教授在國際學術期刊以作者或共同作者的身份發表超過400篇文章，主持超過35項環境相關的政府顧問項目，包括有毒污染物對本港鯨豚和水鳥的風險評估。他先後於2011年、2012年及2019年三度獲國家教育部頒發自然科學獎 (二等獎)。
參與公共事務方面，林教授現時擔任認可諮詢委員會主席、大嶼山發展諮詢委員會委員、創新及科技局「傑出創科學人計劃」會員及土地共享先導計劃─顧問小組會員。他曾任環境諮詢委員會主席 (2010-2016)，並分別於 2008 年及 2014 年獲香港特別行政區政府頒授太平紳士及銀紫荊星章。
