With the generous sponsorship of Dr Peter Lee Kwok-wah, Chairman of the HKMU Foundation Advisory Committee, 11 staff members, 40 students and 28 alumni represented the University in the half marathon and 10 km races. The event aimed to raise funds to enhance rehabilitation and aftercare services supported by The Community Chest.

Starting in Sai Kung Pak Tam Chung Country Park, HKMU members gave their all and finished with some impressive results. In the Half Marathon, students Cheung Yat-long and Yau Hin-lun were the male champion and first runner-up, respectively, and alumna Kan Ming-pui was the female champion. Student Lau Tim-hei claimed the first runner-up spot in the male category of the 10K Run.

The HKMU Foundation, established in 2023 to strengthen the University's ability to engage the HKMU community and supporters, was especially delighted to witness the solidarity of staff, students and alumni in supporting charitable causes for the wider community.
