HKMU hosts 35th Anniversary Banquet
Striving for excellence and going beyond limits

As Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, the University has organised a range of activities to showcase its transformation and remarkable achievements over the past 35 years. One of the most important events among these year-long celebrations was the 35th Anniversary Banquet, held last Friday (1 November) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It brought together friends of the University, as well as staff, students and alumni, to extend their wishes for the University to build on its successes and achieve new milestones, nurturing more talent for the country and Hong Kong, and furthering its excellence in higher education....

HKMU presents Honorary University Fellowships to four outstanding individuals

Presided over by HKMU Pro-chancellor Dr Eddy Fong Ching, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) held its Honorary University Fellowship Presentation Ceremony today (4 October) to present Honorary University Fellowships to four distinguished individuals: Mr Anthony Chan Tung-shan, a member of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications; Mr Choi Pat-tai, President of Pak Shing Travel Co. Ltd; Ms Jasmine Lee Shun-yi, Managing Partner of EY Hong Kong and Macao; and Mr Wai Ka-fai, a renowned Hong Kong filmmaker....

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) held a flag-raising ceremony for National Day on campus this morning (1 October) to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. HKMU continues to rank first in the RGC research grant funding among self-financing institutions, with HK$34.5 million, amounting to 40% of the total funding

In the latest round of the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector of the Research Grants Council (RGC), Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) secured a total of about HK$34.5 million for 41 projects, amounting to 40% of the total RGC allocation, ranking HKMU first among all local self-financing institutions in terms of both funding amount and the number of projects for the second consecutive year....

HKMU physiotherapy programme receives professional accreditation; graduates are qualified to practise as registered physiotherapists

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has officially received professional accreditation from the Physiotherapists Board of the Supplementary Medical Professions Council (SMPC) for its four-year Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physiotherapy programme, which was launched in 2020 to meet strong demand for healthcare professionals in Hong Kong. The first cohort of graduates are now qualified to practise as registered physiotherapists in Hong Kong and can apply for full membership in the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association....
