Two nursing graduates, Janet Kung Tsz-shan and Queenie Kwan Ching-man, were named Hong Kong Professional Elite Ladies in a selection organised by the Junior Chamber International City Lady.

Since 2011, the Hong Kong Professional Elite Ladies Selection has been held annually to recognise the achievements of a maximum of ten fashionable, professional women with significant contributions in various sectors of society and the values they represent.

Janet Kung is the only female ice-climbing athlete in Hong Kong and has made remarkable achievements in many local and global sports competitions. For instance, she was ranked sixth in the world in Speed in the 2023–2024 UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup. She is also a two-time holder of the “Queen of the Buns” title of the Cheung Chau Bun Scrambling Competition.

Queenie Kwan is a registered nurse and senior lecturer in the HKMU School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She passes her professional nursing knowledge and skills to the next generation through teaching and volunteer services. Her dedication to serving the community has led to her receiving various accolades, such as the Leadership Bauhinia Volunteer Award from the Agency for Volunteer Service and recognition as one of the Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Volunteers in a scheme launched by the Social Welfare Department.
