HKMU awards first doctorate to a person in custody in Hong Kong
In commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, Hong Kong Metropolitan University held a flag-raising ceremony today (1 October).
In commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) held a flag raising ceremony today (1 October).
HKMU Council Chairman Mr Michael Wong Yick-kam, President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Provost Prof. Reggie Kwan Ching-ping, Vice President (Resources and Development) Prof. Lui Yu-hon, Vice President (Students and Support) Prof. Ricky Kwok Yu-kwong, joined by the University management, staff and students, attended the ceremony on Jockey Club Campus in the morning to express their sincere blessings to the Motherland.
As an important member of the higher education sector, HKMU is committed to strengthening the University community’s understanding towards the national affairs and the country’s development. HKMU also endeavours to uphold its unique position, mission and aspiration represented by the new University title, as well as to nurture talents to contribute to the development of Hong Kong and the Motherland.
