Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) will host the face-to-face “2021 JUPAS Information Day” next Saturday (6 November), allowing students who are going to take the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, their parents and the general public to visit HKMU campuses and learn more about the updated admission information of the undergraduate programmes.

Various live admission talks and live chats sessions led by professors of the five Schools and Registry will be arranged on the information day, introducing the features and details of the programmes offered in the 2022/23 academic year.

In addition, the University will arrange tours to the three campuses including the main campus, Jockey Club campus and the Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare (IOH). The IOH, just opened in early 2021, is well-equipped with advanced teaching and learning facilities as well as spacious amenities. It not only greatly enriches students’ learning experience, but also enables the University to run healthcare programmes, including those on nursing and physiotherapy, to nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals to address community needs. Students who are interested in studying at HKMU will be able to tour the libraries, laboratories and many other facilities and have a glimpse of the campus life at HKMU.

In the 2022/23 academic year, HKMU will offer 51 undergraduate programmes. There are two new programmes, namely the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Science (STEM) and the Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours in Integrated Testing, Inspection and Certification. Fifteen programmes are under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which cover various disciplines to address the Hong Kong's manpower demand in specific industries.
