HKMU to hold the Virtual JUPAS Consultation Day for JUPAS applicants

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) will hold the Virtual JUPAS Consultation Day on 21 May (Saturday). Representatives from various Schools and Offices will share the latest information about HKMU and JUPAS admissions. JUPAS applicants, parents and teachers are welcome to join.

During the event, HKMU School of Arts and Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, School and Education and Languages, School of Nursing and Health Studies, as well as School of Science and Technology will arrange a series of online programme information seminars and Q&A sessions. JUPAS applicants will have the opportunity to understand the entrance requirements and features of their preferred programmes. In addition, an Admissions Talk will be organized by Registry and Student Affairs Office to share information such as tips for JUPAS applicants, university life and scholarships.

51 programmes will be offered by HKMU in the upcoming 2022/23 academic year, including 15 programmes under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/ Sectors (SSSDP). School of Science and Technology will offer two new programmes, namely, Bachelor of Science with Honours in Science (STEM) (JS9733), and Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours in Integrated Testing, Inspection and Certification (JSSU61). The former programme offers 30 places and aims to provide students with the inter-disciplinary knowledge on STEM, while the latter offers 50 places and will cover various areas of testing and certification.

In addition, starting from 2022, students who attain 5* and 5** in any subject of HKDSE and admitted to HKMU degree programmes through JUPAS scheme will be awarded HK$40,000 HKDSE Star Scholarships for each subject. To recognize academically outstanding and talented new students, HKMU also presents a variety of prestigious entrance scholarships to other JUPAS applicants and outstanding athletes. Each scholarship recipient will receive up to HK$120,000.
