Hereafter, an animation produced by graduates LUI Wai-hang and WONG Wun-ki from the Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Animation and Visual Effects programme, has again won the Hong Kong Merit Award at the 22nd DigiCon6 ASIA Awards. The work received an honorable mention in the Taiwan International Student Design Competition earlier.

Organized by Tokyo Broadcasting System Holdings, Inc. (TBS Japan), the “DigiCon6 ASIA Awards” is an annual prestigious digital content competition in Asia. Participants are all aspiring and talented creators coming from Asian regions. Supervised by Mr Vincent MAK Shing-fung, Senior Lecturer of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, the animation tells about a child who turns into a spiritual doll after a ruthless fire, returns to her home and meets her granny. The recognition of Hereafter has demonstrated the excellent creative skills and competitiveness of OU students in the international arena.
