Two Business students, Chan Yu-mei and Kalathiya Simran Sanjaybhai, have been awarded HSBC Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong) Scholarship, receiving HK$80,000 to assist their career development and gain experience in the Greater Bay Area.
HSBC launched its first Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong) Scholarship last year to support Hong Kong undergraduates planning to work in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. Applicants are required to submit their long-range career plans, with shortlisted candidates invited for an interview with HSBC senior executives and employee representatives. This year's scholarship opportunity was keenly contested by a total of 300 students. The outstanding performances of Chan Yu-mei and Kalathiya Simran Sanjaybhai secured their inclusion among 35 successful applicants. In addition to the HK$80,000 scholarship, awardees will also gain invaluable access to mentorship opportunities with HSBC executives, practical career and business advice from financial leaders in the Greater Bay Area, and an opportunity to expand their social and professional network.
