Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) will hold an InfoDay on 11 November (Saturday) at its Ho Man Tin Campus, at which representatives from various HKMU schools and departments will introduce the University and provide admissions and programme information. The library will be open, and campus tours will be arranged to welcome visitors. Students, parents, teachers, and other interested members of the public are welcome to join the event.

During the event, the School of Arts and Social Sciences, the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, the School of Education and Languages, the School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the School of Science and Technology will conduct programme talks, demonstrations on interactive teaching, and guided tours to enable visitors to learn more about the entrance requirements and features of the different programmes. Admissions talks will be held to provide information on admission arrangements and scholarships and to give visitors more insights into the University's campus life and facilities.

In the 2024/25 academic year, HKMU will offer 46 JUPAS programmes, 20 of which will fall under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP), providing a total of 1,280 first-year entry places, which is the highest among self-financing institutions. Two new programmes, namely the “Bachelor of Arts with Honours in New Music and Interactive Entertainment” and the “Bachelor of Science with Honours in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying”, will be introduced. The former is the first of its kind in Hong Kong and focuses on the development of hybrid interactive entertainment, comprising technology, visual arts and music, to nurture talent for the creative industries. The latter is designed in accordance with the standards set by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers. Its curriculum covers both construction management and quantity surveying, with the aim of training talent for the construction industry to prepare them for future large-scale infrastructural projects, such as the Northern Metropolis and Lantau Tomorrow.

HKMU offers a number of scholarships to reward new students with outstanding academic performance and talent. Students who attain 5* or 5** in any subject under category A in the 2024 HKDSE and are admitted to the University through JUPAS will receive a scholarship of HK$40,000 for each subject. The University also provides a variety of entrance scholarships, with amounts of up to HK$120,000 for JUPAS applicants and outstanding athletes.

HKMU InfoDay will be held physically on the Ho Man Tin Main Campus, the Jockey Club Campus, and the Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare. Interested parties can register online at https://admissions.hkmu.edu.hk/ug/infoday2023/. For enquiries, please contact (tel) 3120 2589 or (email) regadmug@hkmu.edu.hk.
