The 1st HKMU Distinguished Alumni Award honours four outstanding alumni

Details:
Nursing graduate Janet Kung Tsz-shan is passionate about sports. She has been participating in the Cheung Chau Bun Scrambling Competition since 2012. In 2019, she won the championship of the women's group and was crowned Queen of the Buns for the first time. This year, she scored 842 points, beating two other female finalists and triumphing again as Queen of the Buns. She was also the highest scorer among all contestants in the competition.
In the meantime, Janet is also the only female ice climbing athlete in Hong Kong. Last year, she represented Hong Kong to join the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup held in five countries and was placed sixth in world ranking. At HKMU, she served as the Vice President of the First Session of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Metropolitan University Alumni Association and was involved in organising events to strengthen ties between the University and its alumni.
