HKMU and Kai Shing sign MoU on student internships and career development
HKMU holds a New Year's Day flag-raising ceremony on its Jockey Club Campus.
The ceremony is attended by members of the HKMU community, including Council members, University management, staff and students.
Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing, HKMU President, wishes the students success in effectively applying their knowledge and skills to contribute to the country and Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) held a flag-raising ceremony this morning to mark the beginning of the New Year. Members of the HKMU community, including Council members, University management, staff and students, attended the ceremony to express their wishes for the prosperity of the country and the continued development of Hong Kong.
As the New Year began, Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing, HKMU President, encouraged the students to maintain their confidence and passion for learning, seize the opportunities arising from the country's development, and leverage their strengths for future careers and ventures. “In 2025, HKMU will offer additional professional and practical programmes, and deepen collaboration and exchanges with global institutions and industry partners to further enhance its teaching and research capacity and international influence,” he said. “The University will also offer more internship and career opportunities for students to support them in effectively applying their knowledge and skills to contribute to the country and Hong Kong.”
To cultivate students' national consciousness and promote national education, the University raises the national flag on campus daily and holds flag-raising ceremonies every Monday morning and on other important occasions, such as New Year's Day, HKSAR Establishment Day and National Day. All students and staff are encouraged to participate.
