Details:
Graduates LUI Wai-hang and WONG Wun-ki from the Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Animation and Visual Effects programme participated in the Taiwan International Student Design Competition earlier. The theme of the competition was 'Action', which associated with the Sustainable Development Goals advocated by the United Nations. It is hoped that concepts such as respect between people, and between people and the environment, as well as the introspection and listening to justice, fairness and empathy can all be demonstrated in the designs.

After preliminary and final selection, their work Hereafter was selected out of more than 20,000 entries from different higher education institutes in 64 countries and regions around the world, and awarded honorable mention under the digital animation category in the competition. The winning animation tells about a child, who turns into a spiritual doll after a ruthless fire, returns to her home and meets her granny. The outstanding work of the students not only demonstrate their solid creative skills, but also their ability to compete with international students.
