Zhuang Shiyi, student of the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Chinese programme, participated in the 32nd Chinese Poetry Writing Competition (Chi Writing) held by Hong Kong Public Library. With her outstanding language proficiency and rich knowledge of Chinese culture, her work was commended by the judges and won the “Special Prize” under the student category. Her work, along with other winning pieces, will be exhibited at the Hong Kong Central Library later.

Since 1991, the Hong Kong Public Library has been devoted to promoting Chinese culture by organizing the Chinese Poetry Writing Competition to enhance the public's Chinese language skills and the ability to appreciate Chinese prosodic writings.
