Details:
Early this year, graduate Rai Jenny Samekham from the Cinematic Design and Photographic Digital Art programme formed a team with her Nepalese friend to join the Unison Community Project Competition 2021. They were selected as one of the ten winning teams of the competition with their project “Redefining 'Community' through Our Lens!”.
After attending the project management skill training arranged by the Hong Kong Unison, they partnered with Kwai Tsing District Councillor to implement the awarded project in the district, aiming to use a series of photography activities to break the language barrier between people and promote social inclusion. The project consisted of three parts, namely workshop, competition and exhibition. Youngsters of different races were encouraged to join.
