Student's creative art pieces selected in overseas competitions
To promote Chinese culture, 14 Creative Arts students from HKMU have participated in Ink Global 2021, integrating new multimedia technologies such as animation, Augmented Reality (AR) and digital paint brush into 13 traditional ink paintings. For instance, a goldfish ink painting was recreated with AR technology. Moreover, two Year 3 students of Animation and Visual Effect, Crystal Yau Hoi-yu and Janice Hui Cheuk-wing, transformed famous comic artist Tony Wong Yuk-long's art piece into animation. The students' creativity aims to enhance public participation and engagement through interaction, thereby increasing the interest of different age groups in ink art.
This exhibition featuring world's 500 stunning ink paintings is being held at the Exhibition Gallery of Hong Kong Central Library until 21 January 2022. To learn more, please visit the webpage: http://inkglobal.org/index/
