The Eighth Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award
Details:
Hung Chun-ho and Lau Ka-ki, Year 3 and Year 2 students from the Bachelor of Education with Honours (Chinese Language Teaching) and Bachelor of Language Studies with Honours (Applied Chinese Language Studies) programme received the merit award in the Eighth Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award, after passing multiple rounds of assessments in the competition.
Co-organized by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association and the Hong Kong Prospective Teachers Association, the Eighth Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award aims to encourage prospective teachers from various higher education institutions to pursue their teacher dreams and enhance their professional quality continuously. A total of 107 prospective teachers participated in the competition this year and the award presentation ceremony was held on 24 April. Performing well at the preliminary and final assessment, as well as teaching demonstration, two OU students were selected as one of the 15 merit award winners.
