Student's creative art pieces selected in overseas competitions
Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture and the Department of Creative Arts of the HKMU School of Arts and Social Sciences, together with The Salvation Army Tin Ka Ping School have jointly launched an animation collaborative programme to promote moral education. The programme aims to enhance recognition and interest of positive moral values among primary school students by presenting the Chinese historical stories through animation.
To kick start the programme, HKMU Creative Arts students transformed the four moral cartoon mascots designed by the students and teachers of The Salvation Army Tin Ka Ping School into animation. It was showcased at the opening ceremony of the programme held in October 2021. In the second stage, The Salvation Army Tin Ka Ping School will organize a writing competition about the moral mascots. HKMU Creative Arts students will then turn the winning entries into an animation series, which is expected to be completed in early 2022.
