HKMU launches new career readiness programme to enhance students' soft skills in the workplace

Sponsored by the Professional Services Advancement Support Scheme set up by the Hong Kong Government and Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation, the School of Nursing and Health Studies of the OUHK will host the first International Conference on Gerontechnology in Hong Kong from 25 to 27 November 2020 (Wednesday to Friday) at OUHK Jockey Club Campus.
The world's population is aging rapidly and gerontechnology becomes the fresh hope of the world to tackle the aging challenges. To promote the understanding of gerontechnology among the industry and the public, and to enhance the quality of life and independence of the elderly, 12 presentations by renowned scholars from The United States, Canada, and Southeast Asia, as well as local professionals will be delivered at the 3-day conference. They will also share their expertise on the development of gerontechnology, its application in elderly care, and some case studies. Several exhibiting booths will be set up during the conference, allowing participants to experience the cutting-edge technology products and learn more about the new trend of gerontechnology.
Admission is free. Interested parties are welcome to submit paper and register via the link http://icg2020.hkmu.edu.hk. Attendees will be given an electronic product as gift, and eligible participants could also obtain 12.5 Continuing Nursing Education points.
