The Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support and drive talent development for the hospitality and tourism industry.
The MoU was signed by Dean of the School Prof. Alan Au Kai-ming and Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong Mr Christian Poda. Under the MOU, both parties will collaborate to realise their shared mission to support the growth of the hospitality and tourism industry, both locally and internationally.
In his opening address at the ceremony, Prof. Au highlighted two initiatives that would be the focus of the MoU—the development of overseas student internship programmes and business case studies. “Beyond enriching the students' learning experience,” he said, “these key initiatives will support knowledge transfer and exchange between academia and the industry, allowing both our School and Four Seasons to expand our commitment in the development of the hospitality sector.”
Mr Poda also expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, emphasising the value of providing a platform for aspiring hospitality professionals to advance their careers. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that students feel supported and cared for, and that they gain practical and professional knowledge that will enable them to achieve their career aspirations.
