Creative writing graduate's final year project gets published in Hong Kong Literary

Supervised by Dr Rebecca Leung Mo-ling of the School of Arts and Social Science, graduate TAM Ka-wai from the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Creative Writing and Film Arts programme composed a fiction titled “三國狂想曲—黃月英攻略傳:後設×穿越”, as his final year project. It is a metafiction about reflections on time-travel. With Ka-wai's outstanding writing skills, the piece is published in Hong Kong Literary, one of the prestigious literary magazines in Hong Kong....

A Master's student in Chinese Literature receives an award in Literary Competition

The Annual Literary Award of Mountain Gongga was launched by the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and literary magazine Mountain Gongga. Student ZHANG Yuan of the Master of Arts in Chinese Literature programme was awarded the Annual Literary Award in the category of poetry with his work “張元的詩”....

Business students win Championship in HSBC/HKU Hong Kong Business Case Competition

The 2021 HSBC/HKU Hong Kong Business Case Competition of this year encourages students to combine business thinking and sustainable development strategies to promote the reduction of drinking bottled water in the community, in order to achieve reduction at source. Students are required to work on a case study and prepare a slide deck within six hours. The judging panel consisted of senior executives from HSBC and other companies will raise questions after the presentation....

Nursing student receives 'For Our Future' Scholarship

'For Our Future' Scholarship was established by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation last year, aiming to recognize and encourage local university students who have excellent performance in their academic studies, diverse development and community services. Animation and Visual Effects graduates win international award

Graduates LUI Wai-hang and WONG Wun-ki from the Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Animation and Visual Effects programme participated in the Taiwan International Student Design Competition earlier. The theme of the competition was 'Action', which associated with the Sustainable Development Goals advocated by the United Nations. It is hoped that concepts such as respect between people, and between people and the environment, as well as the introspection and listening to justice, fairness and empathy can all be demonstrated in the designs....

Creative Arts graduate receives the accolade of City Literary Awards

Student Tse Shing-tung of the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Creative Writing and Film Arts programme participated in the “City Literary Awards” organised by The Department of Chinese and History of City University of Hong Kong earlier. His literary work“二十不立” stood out from the crowd and awarded the second runner-up in the university category of the competition. A Master's student in creative writing receives award in Literature Writing Competition

Student LYU Zhaojun of the Master of Arts in Creative Writing programme participated in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area College Literature Writing Competition 2020 earlier. After serval rounds of assessments, Zhaojun's literary work Winter in Hong Kong, which was based on the theme of 'Experiencing Lingnan', was selected out of 35 shortlisted entries from different higher education institutes, and awarded a second prize in the competition....

Business student wins recognition in community intern programme

Last summer, eight business students were selected to join the Citi-HKCSS Community Intern Program and worked as an intern in local non-profit organisations.  Among them, year 2 student Stephanie Ching Chiu-yin from the International Hospitality and Attractions Management programme worked at the Employment Services Centre of Hong Kong Down Syndrome Association to help design questionnaire and make suggestions on its service. ...
