HKMU to confer Honorary Doctorates on four distinguished persons

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) will confer honorary doctorates on four distinguished individuals in recognition of their valuable achievements and exceptional contribution to society. HKMU sets up Hong Kong's first “Before I Die” message wall to promote life and death education

The Student Affairs Office of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) recently organised the “Portraits of the Elderly: Journey of Life Exhibition” on campus, aiming to promote life and death education through various creative activities, including the installation of Hong Kong's first ever “Before I Die” message wall and a “Photography Services for the Elderly” photo album. The aim of the exhibition was to encourage the participants to reflect on the value and importance of life while raising awareness about the welfare of the elderly. School of Education and Languages students recognised by Toastmasters International for dedication to public speaking

The HKMU Trilingual Toastmasters Club formed by students of the School of Education and Languages (E&L) attained the Distinguished Toastmasters Club label for 2022–2023 awarded by Toastmasters International. The recognition is part of Toastmasters International's Distinguished Club Program, which sets ten goals for individual clubs to achieve during the year. It requires that club members keep making progress in its education programmes, the club maintain a healthy membership base, club officers receive sufficient training and club administration be properly managed. A Distinguished Club must have achieved five of the ten goals....
