HKMU 35th Anniversary Exhibition "Our HKMU – 35 Years of 'Time, Matters, People, Space'" showcases the University's key milestones

Since its establishment in 1989, HKMU has evolved to meet the changing needs of society and policy development in higher education, developing into a contemporary and comprehensive university. To showcase the University's key milestones over the past 35 years, an exhibition titled "Our HKMU – 35 Years of 'Time, Matters, People, Space'" is currently being held in the University Gallery on the Homantin Main Campus, presenting the achievements of the University, staff and students from multiple perspectives....

HKMU hosts alumni dinners in Hong Kong and Shenzhen to celebrate its 35th Anniversary

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), the University recently hosted alumni dinners in both Hong Kong and the Mainland to enhance communication with alumni while sharing its latest development with them. This was the first mainland alumni dinner organised by the Development and Alumni Affairs Office and attracted over 100 alumni from various provinces and cities, including Shenzhen, Shanghai and Xiamen, to commemorate this key milestone of the University....

HKMU receives a donation from China Resources Group to establish the “China Resources Corporate Governance Scholarship” to cultivate corporate governance talent

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) recently signed a donation agreement with China Resources Charitable Fund Limited (CRCF) to establish the “China Resources Corporate Governance Scholarship”, which will offer up to 10 scholarships in each of the five academic years from 2023/24 to 2027/28. The scholarships recognise outstanding postgraduate students who have excelled in the HKMU Master of Corporate Governance and Compliance programme and encourage them to pursue a career in corporate governance and company secretarial roles....

Creative arts students contribute to Tai Kwun exhibition

The Bruce Nauman Exhibition at Tai Kwun Contemporary this summer saw a team of HKMU students contribute to its “Hi! & Seek” section. At the invitation of Tai Kwun, Mr Morgan Wong Wing-fat, Senior Lecturer of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, led students from the “Expanded Images” course of the Imaging Design and Digital Art programme to assist the museum's public programme team in researching the influential contemporary artist....

HKMU President leads delegation to visit universities, hospitals and enterprises in Zhejiang to enhance academic and research collaboration

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing led a university delegation to visit Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
