HKMU provides Diploma of Applied Education Programmes for the “Ethics College” to support inmates in continuous learning

The Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education (LiPACE) of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has collaborated with the Correctional Services Department (CSD) to offer Diploma of Applied Education Programmes for the“Ethics College”, which was established by the CSD to support inmates in continuous learning. CSD held an opening ceremony for the “Ethics College” on 30 November at the Pak Sha Wan Correctional Institution. The establishment of the College marks a new milestone in the provision of continuing education for inmates by the CSD and HKMU....

HKMU organises the first-ever “HKMU Vaccination Days” to prevent the spread of viruses and protect community health

This winter will be the first influenza peak since the lifting of the compulsory mask-wearing requirement. To protect the health of students and teachers, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has launched “HKMU Vaccination Days” for the first time to help reduce the risk of the spread of germs and maintain a safe and healthy campus environment. The influenza vaccination is administered by professionally trained students from the School of Nursing and Health Studies, allowing them to apply their knowledge to serve the HKMU community....

HKMU sets up Hong Kong's first “Before I Die” message wall to promote life and death education

The Student Affairs Office of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) recently organised the “Portraits of the Elderly: Journey of Life Exhibition” on campus, aiming to promote life and death education through various creative activities, including the installation of Hong Kong's first ever “Before I Die” message wall and a “Photography Services for the Elderly” photo album. The aim of the exhibition was to encourage the participants to reflect on the value and importance of life while raising awareness about the welfare of the elderly. The four-day event received a positive response, attracting nearly 400 students and staff....
