HKMU invites the “Yao-Chinese Folktales” production team to Hong Kong for the first time to share their insights on animating Chinese mythology

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is committed to promoting Chinese culture through research and diversified activities. Coinciding with the University's 35th anniversary, the Research Institute for Digital Culture and Humanities (RIDCH) recently extended a special invitation to the director and production team of the acclaimed Chinese fantasy animation series Yao-Chinese Folktales to share their creative insights with the University community and the public. HKMU launches HK$50 million Startup Fund to help students, staff and alumni realise their entrepreneurial dreams

To further promote an entrepreneurial culture, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) has officially launched the HK$50 million HKMU Startup Fund (the Fund). Long-term HKMU study reveals rising health risks of oral corticosteroid use in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are often prescribed oral corticosteroids (OCSs) if there is a sudden deterioration in their condition. A scholar of the School of Nursing and Health Studies at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and related research team conducted a long-term study that unveils an increased risk of 17 diseases, including cardiovascular disease, associated with OCS use for COPD. The research team recommended exploring alternative treatments to minimise the possible side effects of using OCSs to alleviate the condition....

HKMU swimmers claim three silver medals in USFHK Aquatic Meet

HKMU swimmers put their best stroke forward at the most recent Annual Aquatic Meet by the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK) and were rewarded with encouraging results. The spotlight fell especially on Tsang Pak-ho, who came second in two individual 50 metre races — Freestyle and Butterfly. He bagged a third silver medal with fellow teammates, Chow King-him, Ma Wing-sum and Phoebe Cheuk Yuet-ying, in the Mixed 4 x 50 metre Freestyle Relay. Overall, the HKMU Swimming Team ranked sixth out of 12 university teams, with the boys' and girls' teams placed sixth and seventh respectively....
