Scheme:
OUHK Service Learning Programme – Elderly Wedding Photography Programme

Details:
Many elderly couples did not have the chance to take wedding photos when they got married in early years.  In this connection, the OUHK Student Affairs Office organized an Elderly Wedding Photography Programme between September 2020 and January 2021 to help five elderly couples take wedding photos.

20 students from the School of Arts and Social Science joined the activity and took up different positions, including photographer and make-up artist, etc.  In addition to attending the wedding photography and bridal make-up training on campus, they also engaged in the event planning, interview, site visit, venue decoration, sourcing of wedding dresses and production of the photo albums.

All the participants enjoyed the activity a lot.  The students not only helped the elderly couples realize their dreams, they also enhanced their own skill set and experience through the service learning programme.
