Details:
The creative writing programme of the OUHK ranks 11th according to a Ranking of Creative Writing Professionalism among Higher Education Institutes in China released by the Northwest University earlier. It affirms the effort of the OUHK in developing creative arts programmes. The ranking evaluation is based on the years of establishment of the programme, teachers’ qualifications, students’ works and research achievements etc. Other ranked universities include Fudan University and Shanghai University.

The OUHK values creative arts education and is committed to providing practical and professional training to its students. The University will offer the first master’s programme in creative writing in Hong Kong with Chinese as the medium of instruction in the academic year 2020/21. The course aims at equipping students with a creative mind and professional writing skills, and nurturing them to meet the challenges of a new media era.
