The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) will host the Virtual Information Day online on 7 November (Saturday) to allow students who are going to take the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, their parents and general public to learn more about the latest information and features of the OUHK 2021/22 undergraduate programmes from anywhere.

Various Live Talks and Live Chats led by professors of the five Schools, including School of Arts and Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, School of Education and Languages, School of Nursing and Health Studies, School of Science and Technology, as well as by representatives of the Registry, will be arranged on the information day. They will feature admission information, career prospect of the programmes, strategies in selecting JUPAS choices, and direct interaction with the participants. In addition, some Schools will invite students and alumni to share their learning experience and campus life. Prospective students can also experience the advanced teaching and learning facilities in the OUHK through the 360 degree videos available on the Online Information Portal.

In the 2020/21 academic year, the OUHK will offer 50 undergraduate programmes which consist of 35 self-financing programmes and 15 programmes under the ‘Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors’ (SSSDP). Among the self-financing programmes, 4 of them are new programmes, including Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science with Honours in Cyber and Computer Security, Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Building Services Engineering and Sustainable Development, and Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Besides, 3 programmes are newly included in the SSSDP to help ease the financial burden of the students. They are Bachelor of Science with Honours in Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Science with Honours in Food Testing Science, and Bachelor of Science with Honours in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
