The future success of Hong Kong's young people should be built upon a stable social environment with long term prosperity, and a sound legal system on national security is vital to maintaining stability in the long run. This can safeguard the rights and freedoms granted under the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, creating all favorable conditions for the future development of the young people in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong has undergone unrest and hardship over the past year. To restore peace and order in Hong Kong is what we have been longing for. We believe that a well-established national security law will help effectively safeguard Hong Kong's safety and overall interests of its people, enabling Hong Kong to continue to develop and prosper. We also trust that the "One Country, Two Systems" principle, as well as the related freedoms and the rule of law will continue to be maintained and protected.

University is a cradle for nurturing talents. We at the OUHK will continue to uphold our motto and mission by providing quality education to aspiring learners and creating an open and peaceful, as well as a free and diversified learning environment for our teachers and students.
