Details:
With excellent teaching abilities and devotion to education, nine students from the School of Education and Languages won accolades at the 11th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award co-organised by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association and the Hong Kong Prospective Teachers Association. Kan Yu-hin, Wong Wing-ki, Alexandra Rose Dalipog Cannons and Lorenzo Alfonso Dela Cruz Alde attained the Silver Award, while Yam Tsz-yan and So Yuk-yu received the Bronze Award. Fung Wing-lam, Yip Ho and Chan Yui-pui were also presented with the Merit Award.
The Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award aims to provide prospective teachers with the opportunity to learn from their peers and seniors and encourage them to equip themselves to become outstanding teachers in the future, improve people's lives and foster social development through education. The judging panel is composed of professionals in the education sector, including principals of secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens, as well as scholars. Through initial review, final review Q&A and demo teaching, winners of the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Award are selected and commended.
