Club Outstanding Member 2022–2023 of District 89:

Details:
The HKMU Trilingual Toastmasters Club formed by students of the School of Education and Languages (E&L) attained the Distinguished Toastmasters Club label for 2022–2023 awarded by Toastmasters International. The recognition is part of Toastmasters International's Distinguished Club Program, which sets ten goals for individual clubs to achieve during the year. It requires that club members keep making progress in its education programmes, the club maintain a healthy membership base, club officers receive sufficient training and club administration be properly managed. A Distinguished Club must have achieved five of the ten goals.

Meanwhile, Edith Poon Yin-ting, Early Childhood Education student and the club's Vice President Education, received the recognition of Club Outstanding Member 2022–2023 of District 89.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organisation that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping people develop communication, public speaking, and leadership skills through a series of contests and club meetings. District 89 covers toastmasters clubs located in Hong Kong, Macau, Fujian, Hainan and part of Guangdong, China.
