Student's creative art pieces selected in overseas competitions

Four students from the School of Education and Languages recently participated in the “Hong Kong Youth Public Speaking Competition 2022” organised by the “Student Elite” under “The Y.Elites Association” and snapped several awards among more than 150 participants. Participants of the competition were required to make speech on the theme of “Turning Point under the Epidemic” (疫境下的轉捩點), and the 10 finalists each to deliver a three-minute prepared speech and a one-minute impromptu speech. With positive thinking and fluent presentation skills, Fung Wing-lam and Lam Hoi-ching stood out in the university division, and won the second runner-up and the Outstanding Performance Award respectively. Kan Yu-hin and Wen Pian also performed well and each won a Merit Award. They had shown the spirits of facing adversity positively and embracing challenges, which were recognised by the judges.
