To give non-local students an opportunity to experience Chinese New Year (CNY) culture in Hong Kong, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) held a new semester dining event with CNY game booths for full-time non-local students on 27 January.

Over 120 teachers and students participated in the event, taking up 14 banquet tables, and they were joined by President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing and Assistant Director of Student Affairs Mr Ray Lee. The event provided a good opportunity for local student representatives and student mentors in the Peer Mentorship Scheme to interact with mainland freshmen. Participants also tasted the traditional Hong Kong celebration dish “Big Bowl Feast (Poon-Choi)”, and played games and CNY quizzes. Everyone enjoyed the joyful moments together on this festive occasion.
