Student's creative art pieces selected in overseas competitions

Nursing student Cherie Fung Pui-wing and physiotherapy student Tammy Tam Ka-hei each received the For Our Future Scholarship from the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation. Cherie is an archery coach who is devoted to promoting mental health through teaching archery to others, while Tammy has established the “Fighting Cancer Platform” with her own anti-cancer experience to support patients by organising events and workshops and providing relevant information. With their outstanding academic performance and active participation in community service, they stood out among 250 applicants from 13 local institutions. They were each awarded a scholarship of HK$50,000 and the opportunity to participate in a Beijing exchange trip.
Launched by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation (Foundation), the For Our Future Scholarship is awarded annually to recognise local university students with diverse talents who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and a strong dedication to community service. The Foundation will also arrange an exchange tour to the Greater Bay Area for the awardees to learn more about the region's development in various aspects, including innovation and technology, culture and art, economy and people's livelihoods.
